About the Role
The Housing and Property Management Apprentice will develop practical skills and knowledge in property, leasehold and shared ownership management while completing the Housing & Property Management Level 3 apprenticeship. Through supported learning and on-the-job experience, the postholder will assist with customer enquiries, property inspections, transactions, repairs, building safety and compliance activities, contributing to excellent customer service and positive outcomes. No previous housing experience is required, as full training, mentoring and practical support will be provided. This role requires mandatory attendance to the office at least 1x per week and occasional visits to our other sites, meaning a UK driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable.

Job Responsibilities
Customer Contact & Engagement
Support property and communal area inspections, identify defects and safety concerns, and raise and monitor repairs. Handle routine leasehold and shared ownership enquiries, maintaining accurate records, meeting timescales, and escalating where needed.
Assist with customer engagement activities including surveys, meetings, newsletters, and scheme inspections. Support the early resolution of complaints and disputes, recognising when specialist or legal advice is required. Use customer feedback and insight to continuously improve services.
Property Management
Develop an understanding of leasehold and property management through exposure to key activities including service charges, budgets, Section 20 consultations, staircasing, re-sales, building safety, inspections, and customer services. Work with mentors to set development goals, monitor progress, and reflect on learning.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Build effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and external partners. Communicate clearly through meetings, emails, and reports, sharing learning and supporting continuous improvement. Maintain accurate records and follow internal processes to deliver a high-quality, compliant service.
Project & Analytical Work
Develop knowledge of leasehold management responsibilities, including management packs, staircasing, lease extensions, and lease administration. Support projects that improve efficiency, digital capability, and customer experience, while researching sector trends, policy developments, and best practice.
