 About the role

We are looking for a Repairs Support Manager to join our Onward Repairs team on a permanent basis. The responsibility of the role is to manage the delivery of key management Support services, which ensures delivery of a reliable, quality, efficient responsive repairs and void maintenance service that matches our goal of placing customers at the heart of our service across all elements within Onward Repairs.

Delivery

Manage and implement the delivery plan to improve the quality and efficiency of the services provided. Ensuring key operational and financial targets are achieved in line with the aims and objectives of the business. Support the identification and implementation of new streams of business or operational areas to ensure Repairs offers maximum value for money. 

Planning, Disrepair, DMC, Voids, Complex and Commercial

Manage workflow and planning systems to ensure the effective use of all resources including the Responsible for implementing appropriate IT systems and controls which supports the delivery of projects, along with continuous improvement whilst ensuring risks are monitored and managed effectively. Lead the teams to identify where improvements can be gained, providing support to all direct reports on evolving issues within any planned or major work projects. 

Systems

Manage housing systems or similar IT systems and maintain the current interface with the Client Housing Management system.

Health & Safety

Ensure the required policies and procedures are in place to meet with compliance.

Customer Service

Ensuring customers are provided with a reliable service and treated with respect.

Management, Leadership and Culture Change

Manage budgets, resources and priorities of the team ensuring effective and efficient use of resources to deliver agreed performance targets and customer satisfaction. Drive culture change across the organisation based on the 8 Onward values.

Partnership Working

Identify, build and develop an extensive network of internal and external partnerships to ensure that the interests of the organisation are represented. Be an ambassador for the organisation and an advocate for our customers.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Proven ability to supervise and manage Colleagues to deliver a quality customer centered repairs service.
  • Experience of managing in a similar construction trade-based maintenance business.
  • Experience of managing voids administration teams
  • Experience of managing multiple administration teams across a multi-disciplined delivery model
  • Commercial knowledge and understanding.
  • Ability to effectively manage productivity and works planning.
  • Ability to manage an effective supply chain.
  • Experience of fleet management.
  • Knowledge of repairing IT systems and interface 

 Desirable

  • Knowledge of work planning systems and repairs IT experience.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to HNC, HND in a trade or IT related subject or equivalent qualification / experience of managing support services teams across multiple divisions

Desirable

  • Relevant professional qualification / experience of a similar role.
